From the very first kilometres, you\u00b4ll be riding just a few metres from the Mediterranean, soaking in sea views thar are impossible to ignore. In fact, the biggest danger on this route is wanting to stop at every cove you encounter.\nReaching the iconic Cabo de Gata lighthouse marks you entry into the natural park. An area where volcanic cliffs, crystal-clear waters and rugged coastal paths come together to create one of the most captivating cycling settings in southern Europe.\n\nWe\u00b4ve crafted two coastal stages and one inland stage, the latter taking you right into an ancient volcanic crater. Over 125 km, you\u00b4llexplore the natural park in depth, discovering its wild beauty, unique geology, and the peaceful Mediterranean atmosphere that makes this region so special.\nThis is more than a route, it\u00b4s a premium cycling experience ideal for riders seeking adventure, breathtaking scenary, and the freedom of exploring one of Andaluc\u00eda\u00b4s most remarkable natural treassures.\n\nReady to ride Cabo de Gata?\nJoin us and discover why this traverse has become one of our most unforgettable journeys.\n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> The stages of the Cabo de Gata Traverse have the following characteristics:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul style=\"color:#a14ed9\">\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #e22658;\" class=\"ugb-highlight\"> Stage 1: Almer\u00eda \u2013 San Jos\u00e9, 44 km and 430 m D+.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul style=\"color:#a14ed9\">\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #e22658;\" class=\"ugb-highlight\"> Stage 2: San Jos\u00e9 \u2013 Las Negras, 44 km and 840 m D+.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul style=\"color:#a14ed9\">\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #e22658;\" class=\"ugb-highlight\"> Stage 3: Las Negras \u2013 Agua Amarga, 37 km and 680 m D+.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p> During this traverse, we also want to offer you the opportunity to explore another major attraction of the park: its marine area. You can take part in any type of water activity, such as open-sea kayaking, paddle surfing, introductory scuba diving, or kitesurfing and windsurfing courses. These activities can be combined with the mountain biking stages in the most convenient way. A certain level of physical preparation is required to ensure you can complete the entire route safely.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> The Cabo de Gata Traverse includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li> Welcome
